Center for Advanced Technical Studies
The Center for Advanced Technical Studies
Eighth Grade Dutch Fork Middle School students have the opportunity to tour District Five’s Center for Advanced Technical Studies each fall and learn more about the academic programs offered at this state-of-the-art facility.
Students will gain a better understanding of what The Center has to offer through:
- visiting the classrooms
- learning about the academic experience from current students
- experiencing first-hand each of the exciting programs
Whether it’s Agriculture & Biosystems Engineering Technology, Automotive Technology, Biomedical Sciences, Culinary Arts, or Welding Technology (to name just a few), the programs at the Center are designed to promote creative and innovative thinking. The Center also provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to be college and career ready upon graduation from high school. Eighth grade students will soon begin thinking about high school courses and choices, and we want them experience what our district has to offer high school students.
